Hi , So you wanna go to India
I have designed this website for You.
Not to make the same mistakes I did when I first started out traveling this vast country.

Let's face it, most of us don't have years to travel around randomlessly. More likely we have one or two month to make our dream trip.
Therefore you should make up your mind already at home about what is your main interests. Use this site to check out what it might be like. I have supplied maps, videos, photos and text.

I have divided this site into Himalaya, Central India and South India with Andaman Islands.

Navigation buttons are at the top right corner. Each section has links for videos and photos.

You could easily spend most of your time sitting on slow trains, waiting in dull towns, standing in line trying to get a ticket, going to bad restaurants, sleeping in hotels that are more budget than hotel, waking up with stomach disease that will take a month to get rid of, and so on.

What you need is a plan. Always travel with a guide book. Don't follow it to closely. Make your own ways
Use LOCAL travel agencies, let them get the ticket for you. Don't plan to far ahead timewise. You might want to
stay longer or shorter. Don't worry about hotel rooms. It's always possible to find a room for less than 10 bucks,
Everywere in ALL of India. Often a lot less than that. If you land in Delhi, head for Pahar Ganj, grand bazaar, there is
hostals everywere open all night.

Take a look at a map called India tourist spots. It's on the first page. After traveling India for years I know these are very good locations. Look in the left column.
I have produced 4 video guides of India that you can see in the "clubroom".

When I travel, I dress down and carry a small pack to easily move around. Most things you need can be bought at a fraction of what it costs at home. Don't bring big luggage !!!

Don't use antibiotics for stomach problems. Go to the ayurvedic doctor !!!! (Everybody gets some problem sometime)
Put your money on the best shoes you can afford, the rest you buy in India.

You can power travel and see most sites in one trip but I don't recommend it.
Part of the charm is to hang out with other travelers and enjoy the location.
Each location I pinpoint is worth weeks, easily!!

What do I recommend?

For travel instructions check out the videos in the "club room"
Goa is obvious but crowded with tourist.*
Gokarna is paradise.* Hampi is a must.*
Kerala and the backwaters with Varkala as your hub.*
Tamil Nadu with the "best" temples in India and nice beaches.*
Andaman and Nicobar islands for unspoiled tropical beach paradise.*
Rajastan with Udaipur Jaisalmer Pushkar.* Ohm Kareshwar in Madya Pradesh.*
Himachal Pradesh with Dharmsala, Kullu and Parvati valley,*
Uttarakhand with Rishikesh (yoga) Almora, glacier trekking.*
Cross the border to Nepal and trek more*.

The more I go, the more I want to see.

Go back and start using the different navigation buttons

I have more tips and stories waiting for you!
