Central India is a natural choice
From Goa in the west to Chennai in the east. Central India is the place to visit. Especially when the north is hit with icy mountain winds. Down here it's always warm.

Goa is the most famous area in India for the tourist. I recommend the south with Palolem and Patnam. Agonda beach has come up lately as a new contender for you vacation time. I have made a DVD with guide to all the beaches in Goa. There you can see what it looks like.
Anyway up north in Goa you'll find famous Anjuna beach with hippie market and loads of monkey business.Nearby is Vagator and Chapora. This is really only one area so you can stay anywere. Rent a bike is almost necessary but... Warning ! To many people have accidents. Drugs alcohol and the craziest traffic beats the rookie to the ground. You are a good driver in your country but not here. There aint no traffic rules and it takes time to get used to Indian ways. Furhermore, wounds don't heal, the water is polluted and the ground is full of bacteria in the form of cow shit. Hey, don¨t get turned off, it's wonderful here.

North Goa has Mandrim and Arambol. Nice beaches were Arambol is the busier spot. The water up here is even more polluted, due to a large population having their toilets right into the beach. There has been reports of aggressive locals and female harassment. Don't get me wrong, both these places are great, but there are some buts..When in Arambol go and dine in "The Place" were you get nice food with prog house music. Very relaxing. See Video!

South of Goa, just a couple of hours with train, you have wonderful Gokarna. This is a place for the laid back traveler. At least it was, these beaches with names like Kuddlie, Ohm, Half moon and Paradise are on the verge of being exploited. The good news is; they aren't quite yet.
Kuddlie is nearest and nice. I like Ohm but just get there and start walking 'til you see your vacation spot. Ask around for a room that fits your budget.See a video clip!

Hampi is a days ride to the east in central Karnataka. This was once the biggest city in the world, just about 500 years ago.Now it's countryside. Wonderful laidback athmosphere. Sooth your nerves here.So good, so nice, so enchanting, a place for everybody.
Watch a video clip!

Badami is near Hampi and sports the best looking cave carvings I've seen. ( I have seen a lot of cave carvings) The town itself is also nice with a lake or tank as they call it. Video clip!

Were to go from here? Most likely you will head to Chennai and get urbanised before you head down to Mamallapuram and start chilling again. However thats a story for an other page.(South Imdia)

Why don't you put some steel in your body and start heading north towards Ajanta caves with buddhist carvings.
Continue and get to Ohm Kareshwar in southern Madya Pradesh.
Here old India is still alive, far away from the tourist hordes and their western ways.
Nice walks and an ancient athmosphere.
Nearby is loads of sights with old forts like Maheshwar f.ex.( see map)

Mandi is an old muslim capitol that sports almost new looking 500 year old marble dooms and a house were 15000? girls were held captive as sex slaves (harem). You will feel very far away from home when you're here. See video in clubroom

Now you are near Rajastan and can start heading towards Udaipur,Jaisalmer and Pushkar.
Take a quick glance at Taj Mahal in Agra and wind up in Dehli.

Stay in Delhi for a wile, it's much better than you think the first three days.
Explore!! Very old walla.
